What is the church?

The church comes from the Greek word Ekklesia, meaning “the called-out ones.” It is the Body of Christ—made up of believers who have repented, believed in Jesus, and been baptized. Together, we form one body with many parts, united by faith and purpose in Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12)

Jesus Is the Foundation of the Church.

The church is not a building or a place of worship, it is a community of people fully surrendered to God. Jesus Christ Himself is the foundation upon which the Church stands. As He declared in Matthew 16:18, “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church.” Our faith, unity, and purpose are built entirely on Him.

What does it mean to be part of the church family?

Church membership is not about perks, preferences, or personal gain. It’s about learning together, serving, and being an active part of the community. Being part of the body of Christ means following Jesus’ example of humility, spiritual growth, and servant leadership. As He washed the feet of His disciples (John 13:14–16), we too are called to serve one another in love. Membership isn’t about individualism or consumerism, it’s about honoring God, commitment, community, and contributing to the mission of the Church.

Why be part of the church family?

Church membership is a biblical call to community, accountability, and spiritual growth. God commands His people to gather, encourage, and build one another up in faith (Hebrews 10:25–27). Through membership, we commit to growing spiritually, serving faithfully, and fulfilling our purpose in advancing God’s Kingdom. It’s a visible expression of our devotion to Christ and our partnership with His people.

Tithing and Giving

1 Corinthians 9:7

"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

The mission of Living Waters Church is made possible through the blessings and generosity God has poured out upon His people. As members of His body, we give not out of obligation, but out of gratitude for all He has done.

We understand that giving isn’t limited to finances. Serving with your time, talents, and heart is also a form of worship and offering to the Lord. Whether through financial support, acts of service, or prayer, every gift helps advance God’s Kingdom and strengthens His church.
