What We Believe in
Statement of Faith
1.
The Scriptures (Word of God)
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and infallible Word of God, without error in their original writings. They reveal His complete will for the salvation of humanity and serve as the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 — “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness...”
2.
The Triune God
There is one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4 — “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”
Matthew 28:19 — “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 13:14 — “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
3.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to scripture. Furthermore, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, where at the right hand of the majesty on High. He is now our High Priest and Advocate, and will return into power and glory.
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 — “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures… He was buried, and He was raised on the third day.”
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit works to honor Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of sin, gives new life to those who believe in Him, and lives within believers by guiding, teaching, and empowering them to live godly and serve faithfully. Through the Holy Spirit, we have authority endowed by Jesus Christ.
John 16:7–8, 13–14 — “When He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin… He will glorify Me, for He will take what is Mine and declare it to you.”
4.
Humanity and Sin
Humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden when they ate from the forbidden tree. Because of this fall, all people are separated from God and in need of redemption. Salvation and eternal life can only be received through faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23 — “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
5.
Salvation Through Christ
The shed blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ provide the only foundation for forgiveness, justification, sanctification, and salvation. All who place their faith in Him are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God.
Ephesians 2:8–9 — “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… not by works, so that no one can boast.”
John 1:12–13 — “To all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
Romans 5:8–9 — “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us… we have now been justified by His blood.”
6.
The Resurrection and Eternal Destiny
In the last days, there will be a bodily resurrection of all people. Believers to everlasting joy and fellowship with the Lord, and unbelievers to judgment and eternal separation from God.
John 5:28–29 — “All who are in their graves will hear His voice and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.”
7.
The Church
The true Church is made up of all who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ. Together they form the Body of Christ, united under Him as the Head.
Ephesians 1:22–23 — “God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body.”
1 Corinthians 12:12–13 — “For just as the body is one and has many members… so it is with Christ.”
Colossians 1:18 — “He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead.”
Matthew 16:18 — “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
